专利说明:
Easily and efficiently impede access to a knife, for example in connection with the sale of the knife. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, said object is achieved by means of a safety device having the features defined in claim 1. The safety device according to the invention is intended for use together with a knife comprising a knife shaft and a knife blade and a knife sheath of hard plastic or other rigid material comprising a front piece, a back piece and a bracket arranged on the back piece for attaching the knife sheath to a belt or a button, the front piece and the back piece being connected to each other to form a protective cover for the knife blade of the knife. The safety device is characterized by: - that the safety device is attachable to the knife shaft and the knife sheath for locking the knife in the knife sheath with the knife blade received in said protective cover, - that the safety device comprises a first part designed to receive an upper part of the knife shank locking engagement with the knife shaft, and - that the safety device comprises a second part fixedly connected to the first part which is designed for engagement with the attachment of the knife sheath, this second part having a locking lug facing the first part which is designed to engage with an approach of the knife sheath bracket to thereby lock the safety device to the knife sheath and thus prevent the knife from being manually released from the knife sheath without the use of a tool. With the solution according to the invention, access to the knife is thus made more difficult by holding the knife locked to the associated knife sheath with the knife blade protected received inside the knife sheath. The safety device according to the invention can be given an extremely space-saving design, which is advantageous in the delivery, warehousing and sale of the products. According to an embodiment of the invention, the above-mentioned locking lug is designed to be received in a recess in the bracket of the knife sheath. In this way, a stable engagement between the locking lug and the knife sheath bracket can be achieved. The safety device is preferably mountable on the knife shaft and the knife sheath by displacing the first part down over the upper end of the knife shaft for locking engagement with the knife shaft and by simultaneously displacing the second part down over the knife sheath bracket, the second part being designed so that the locking lug snaps against the shoulder at the attachment of the knife sheath when the first part comes into locking engagement with the knife shaft. This enables an extremely simple and fast mounting of the safety device on the knife and the knife sheath. According to another embodiment of the invention, the second part is provided with a groove extending from an outer edge of the second part and up to the area of the locking lug, this groove constituting a cutting or cutting instruction for an edge of a cutting or cutting tool to thereby facilitate a disintegration of the second part using such a tool in a removal of the safety device from the knife shaft and the knife sheath. Said groove makes it easier for the customer to remove the safety device after the home transport of the knife. According to another embodiment of the invention, the safety device comprises a suspension bracket, via which the safety device and the knife and knife sheath connected thereto can be suspended. This makes it easy to hang the knife and the associated knife sheath on a suitable holder for display at the point of sale. According to another embodiment of the invention, the suspension bracket is attached at a first end to a first side of the second part via a first folding guide and at a second end attached to an opposite second side of the second part via a second folding guide, wherein the suspension bracket by folding over the first and second folding instructions is foldable from a lowered position, in which the suspension bracket is folded over the first part, to a folded-up position. The suspension bracket can advantageously be kept in the lowered position in connection with delivery and storage of the knife product provided with the safety device in order to keep it as compact as possible, after which the suspension bracket can be folded up when the knife product is to be suspended for display. at the point of sale. Other advantageous features of the safety device according to the invention appear from the dependent claims and the description below. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will be described in more detail below with the aid of exemplary embodiments, with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is shown in: Figs. 1-3 Fig. 4 Fig. 5 Fig. 6 Fig. 7 Fig. 8 Fig. 9 perspective views of a safety device according to an embodiment of the present invention, a top plan view of the safety device according to Figs. 1-3, a bottom plan view of the safety device according to Figs. 1-3, a perspective view of a knife and a knife sheath together with the safety device according to Figs. 1-3, with the safety device shown before mounting on the knife and the knife sheath, a perspective view corresponding to Fig. 6 but with the safety device mounted on the knife, a front view of the knife, the knife sheath and the safety device according to Fig. 7, a section along the line IX-IX in Fig. 8, and Fig. 10 a perspective view corresponding to Fig. 7 but with the suspension bracket of the safety device shown in the raised position. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION Figs. 1-10 illustrate a safety device 20 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the safety device of Figs. 7-10 being shown mounted on a knife 1 and on a knife sheath 2 belonging to the knife. The safety device 20 is intended to be used together with a knife 1 which comprises a knife shaft 3 and a knife blade 4 and together with a knife sheath 2 of hard plastic or other rigid material which comprises a front piece 5, a back piece 6 and a bracket 7 arranged for fastening of the knife sheath 2 at a belt or a button, such as for example a denim button or another trouser button. The front piece 5 and the back piece 6 of the knife sheath 6 are connected to each other to form a protective cover for the knife blade 4. The safety device 20 is intended to be attached to the knife shank 3 and the knife sheath 2 for locking the knife 1 in the knife sheath with the knife blade 4 received in said protective cover. is illustrated in Figs. 7-10, thereby making access to the knife blade 4 more difficult. In the illustrated example, the knife sheath bracket 7 projects from the upper end of the back piece 6 and has a tongue 8 extending downwardly along the upper part of the back piece 6, substantially parallel thereto, to form a gap 9 between the bracket 10 15 20 25 30 7 and the back piece 6. This slot 9 is intended for receiving a belt or other belt. A recess 10 designed for engagement with a button is arranged on said tongue 8. The knife sheath 2 can thus be hung on a waist belt or other belt via said slot 9 or on a button via said recess 10. The safety device 20 comprises: - a first part 21 which is designed to receive an upper part 11 of the knife shaft 3 for locking engagement with the knife shaft, and - a second part 22 fixedly connected to the first part 21 which is designed for engagement with the holder 7 of the knife sheath. The second part 22 is attached to the first part 21 and projects laterally from it. The second part 22 has a locking lug 23 facing the first part 21 which is designed to engage with a shoulder 12 of the bracket 7 of the knife sheath in order thereby to lock the safety device 20 to the knife sheath 2 and thus prevent the knife 1 from being manually released from the knife sheath without the use of a tool. In the illustrated example, the locking lug 23 is designed to be received in the above-mentioned recess 10 in the bracket 7 of the knife sheath, said shoulder 12 being constituted by an upper edge of the recess 10. In the illustrated embodiment, the first part 21 is sleeve-shaped and designed to extend around the knife shaft 3 at the upper end 13 thereof. The first part 21 can be slid down over the upper end 13 of the knife shaft so that an upper part 11 of the knife shaft 3 is received in a space inside the first part 21. When the first part 21 has been displaced a certain distance down along the knife shaft 3, an internal contact surface 24 of the first part 21 to abut against a corresponding external contact surface 14 on the knife shaft 10 15 20 25 30 3, whereby a continued mutual displacement of the first part 21 and the knife shaft 3 in the current direction is prevented. Thus, when the safety device 20 is clamped to the knife shank 3 and the knife sheath 2, the first part 21 prevents a displacement of the knife shank 3 upwards relative to the knife sheath 2 and the knife 1 can thereby not be pulled out of the knife sheath. In the illustrated example, the first part 21 is tapered seen from its lower end towards its upper end. In the illustrated embodiment, the second part 22 is hood-shaped and designed to cover the upper part of the knife sheath bracket 7. The second part 22 in this case comprises: - a rear wall 25 which is designed to abut against the back of the bracket 7, - two side walls 26, 27 which are arranged on either side of the rear wall 25 and are designed to cover the edges of the upper part of the bracket 7, and - a roof portion 28 which connects to the upper ends of the rear wall 25 and the side walls 26, 27 and which is designed to cover the upper part of the bracket 7. The safety device 20 is mounted on the knife shaft 3 and the knife sheath 2 by displacing the first part 21 down over the upper end 13 of the knife shaft for locking engagement with the knife shaft 3, while simultaneously displacing the second part 22 down over the bracket 7 for locking engagement therewith. . The second part 22 is designed so that the locking lug 23 is snapped against the shoulder 12 of the knife sheath bracket 7 when the first part 21 comes into locking engagement with the knife shaft 3, i.e. when the inner contact surface 24 of the first part 21 comes into contact against the 10 15 20 25 30 corresponding external contact surface 14 on the knife shaft 3. It is hereby understood that the second part 22 must have a certain flexibility relative to the first part 21 and / or that the part 15 provided with the stop 12 of the bracket 7 should have a certain flexibility so that the locking lug 23 is allowed to pass over the upper part of the bracket 7 and up to the recess 10. When the locking lug 23 reaches the recess 10, the locking lug will snap into the recess 10 and thereby snap fixed against the shoulder 12. In the illustrated example the stop 12 is arranged on a part 15 of the bracket 7 which is connected to the rear piece 6 of the knife sheath via a curved arm 16 (see Fig. 6), whereby this part 15 will thus have a certain flexibility . The engagement between the locking lug 23 and the bracket 7 must be so stable that it becomes very difficult, and almost impossible for a normal strong person, to manually remove the safety device 20 from the knife shaft 3 and the knife sheath 2 without the aid of a tool. In order to make it easier for a user to finally remove the safety device 20 from the knife shaft 3 and the knife sheath 2, the second part 22 is advantageously provided with a groove 29 extending from an outer edge 30 of the second part and up to the area of the locking lug 23. This groove 29 constitutes a cutting or cutting instruction for an edge of a cutting or cutting tool, for example in the form of a knife or scissors, in order thereby to facilitate a disintegration of the second part 22 using such a tool when the safety device 20 must be removed from the knife shaft and the knife sheath. The safety device 20 is advantageously provided with a suspension bracket 31, via which the safety device 20 and the knife 1 and the knife sheath 2 connected thereto can be hung up in a suitable holder at a point of sale. In the illustrated example, a first end 32a of the suspension bracket 31 is attached to a first side of the second portion 22 via a first fold guide 33a, while a second end 32b of the suspension bracket 31 is attached to an opposite second side of the second portion 22. via a second folding instruction 33b. By folding over the first and second folding instructions 33a, 33b, the suspension bracket 31 is foldable from a lowered position (see Figs. 1-9), in which the suspension bracket 31 is folded over the first part 21, to a folded-up position (see Fig. 10), in which the suspension bracket 31 extends straight upwards from the second part 22. The safety device 20 is suitably made of hard plastic and is advantageously formed in one piece. The invention is of course in no way limited to the embodiments described above, but a number of possibilities for modifications thereof should be obvious to a person skilled in the art, without this departing from the basic idea of the invention as defined in the appended claims. .
